West
Weston's Bluesonics
15
March
For many years West Weston has been at the forefront
of the European blues scene, as a charismatic front man, vocalist
and musician. Widely acclaimed as one of the UK's finest exponents
of the Chicago blues harmonica and boogie-woogie piano, he has
fronted his own band The Bluesonics, as well as name acts, including
'The Brothers Grimm' and 'The Big Town Playboys' to audiences around
the world. The cocktail of dynamic vocals, swinging harmonica,
pulsating brass, rocking guitar and boogie-woogie piano mixed with
the authentic toe tapping rhythms of the times has seen venues
packed out to hear the biggest sound around. This will be West
Weston’s second visit to the Mineral Line where he played
with great success some six years’ ago.

Monroes
Revenge
27
September
One of Britain's top bluegrass bands, Monroe's Revenge
has been entertaining audiences since the 1980s. Many commentators
consider that the current line-up is its strongest yet. With its
typical bluegrass line-up of banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and
double bass and fine harmony singing, the band plays traditional
and contemporary songs and fast-paced, virtuoso instrumentals with
rootsy, edgy energy.
